Resolution
Barcode Rule for the cleaning media should be configured in addition to the general tape media rules.
1. Confirm the type of cleaning media in the property of the tape drive. (Figure 2) In the example of figure 2, the media type 'LTO CLN' should be configured.
Note: the check mark can be omitted for the type of cleaning media.

2. Configure a rule for the type of cleaning media.
Go to Backup Exec Icon > Configuration and Settings > Backup Exec Settings > Barcode Rules.
In this instance, select 'LTO CLN' as Media Type for the barcode Prefix or Suffix which labeled the cleaning media.
