Cause
This issue occurs in the following scenario.
1. /folder is mounted to /dev/sdb1.
2. /folder/subfolder is mounted to /dev/sdb2
3. Backup /folder/subfolder to /backup. "folder_subfolder_000.v2i" is created.
4. Backup /folder/ to /backup. Not "folder_000.v2i" but "folder_001.v2i" is created.
When "folder_subfolder_000.v2i" already exists in /backup, "folder_000.v2i" is not created but "folder_001.v2i" is created.
WORKAROUND:
Please backup /folder/ to /backup1 and backup /folder/subfolder to /backup2.
SOLUTION:
A supported hotfix has been made available for this issue. Please contact Veritas Technical Support to obtain this fix. This hotfix has not yet gone through any extensive Q&A testing. Consequently, if you are not adversely affected by this problem and have a satisfactory temporary workaround in place, we recommend that you wait for the public release of this hotfix
