Cause
LightsOut Restore created on one operating system may not be compatible with the other operating system.
Resolution
To support recovery for both platforms on your computer and avoids compatibility issues, remove LightsOut Restore from the lower version of the operating system and set it up on a higher version of the operating system.
Issue/Introduction
LightsOut Restore created on one operating system is detected by the other operating system on your computer even though it is not configured for that operating system.
For example, your computer has dual boot with Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. If you setup LightsOut Restore in Windows 7, it is also detected in Windows 10. If you try to recover the Windows 10 operating system using the existing LightsOut Restore, the recovery may fail and my result in compatibility issues as LightsOut Restore is created in a lower version of the operating system.
