Error Message
“Some files used for the Veritas System Recovery installation are corrupt. Please use a valid media for installation.”
Cause
During installation, System Recovery needs to validate the signed binaries using the certification authority. For this validation, internet connectivity is required. If the connectivity is not available, the error message is displayed.
Resolution
Use one of the following workaounds:
- Temporarily enable internet access and run the installation (internet access can be disabled after installation is complete)
- Instead of running the installation via browser.exe, go to \SSR32 (for 32bit operating system) or \SSRx64 (for 64bit operating system) and run setup.exe
