Error Message
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \Folder\Subfolder1 and its subdirectories.
The job fails with the "directory not found" error and the job log reports:
An unexpected error occurred when cleaning up snapshot volumes. Confirm that all snapped volumes are correctly resynchronized with the original volumes.
The following entry is also seen in the job log:
AOFO: Started for resource: "E:". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). The snapshot provider used by VSS for volume E: - Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0 (Version 1.0.0.7).
The Event log displays Event ID 25: (Figure 1)

Cause
This issue occurs if the backup job is configured to use MS Shadow Copy Service for backup operation under Tools | Options | Advance Open File Option or under Backup Job Properties | Settings | Advanced Open File (Figure 2)

Resolution
If the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service should be used for AOFO backup operations, contact Microsoft to resolve the VSS issue.
