Resolution

 Backup Exec can send alerts to remind about the renewal of your maintenance contracts.

To set the alerts:

  1. Run the installation wizard by clicking on Backup Exec button - Installation and Licensing - Install Options and Licenses on this Backup Exec Server.
     
  2. On the Add Licenses screen enter the serial number for your maintenance contract.
     
  3. Backup Exec will determine the expiration date and generate an alert when the expiration date approaches.

 

 

 

Issue/Introduction

The following alert will be displayed in Backup Exec 2012 and above if the serial number(s) for maintenance contract(s) are not entered in the Installation Wizard.
