To backup remote server to Deduplication Disk Storage with Client-side Deduplication option, please check as following procedure:

1. Check Properties of Deduplication Disk Storage, make sure that Client-side Deduplication has been enabled.

2. To create Back up to Deduplication Disk Storage job, make sure that "Enable the remote computer to directly access the storage device and to perform client-side deduplication, if it is supported" is checked.

3. After the job is created, to check Direct access sharing panel in the Detail View of protected server. If it is the first time to create job for this server, this message "The device has been shared with this server. The services on still need to be restarted." will be displayed at Status field.

4. If the job run without restarting Backup Exec's services on the backup server, that job will be completed with exceptions:
    Client-side deduplication is enabled for this job, but it could not be used. In that case, just need to restart Backup exec's services on the backup server, then re-run that job again.
