Cause
This error is seen in some cases where the backup destination is experiencing potential hardware issues.
Resolution
Perform the following steps to resolve issue:
1. Attempt to run a backup to a different location. If backups to a different destination complete, then hardware issues with the original destination are suspected.
2. Attempt to run a backup from a different machine to the original backup destination. If same issue occurs, then hardware issues are suspected.
3. Run CHKDSK /r /f and Disk Defragment on the destination drive then re-run backup job.
