Error Message
Error EC8F1F48: The 'Vmware VMDK' conversion process could not be completed.
Error EC8F1F45: Cannot convert image file.
Error E7640001: The work in progress has been cancelled.
Error EBAB03F1: The operation was canceled by the user.
Cause
These errors are received when a backup process was initiated during the conversion process.
Resolution
To prevent the conversion failure, make sure that no backup operations are initiated or are scheduled to run during the conversion process.
It is not possible to run backups and conversions simultaneously.
Issue/Introduction
A physical to virtual (P2V) conversion in Veritas System Recovery (VSR) fails with error on systems that were previously known to work or otherwise have no valid reason for failing.
