A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0
- The target principal name is incorrect.)
SGMON log shows the error below:
MANAGEMENT: ERROR: LocalizedException:
MANAGEMENT: ERROR: Message: The BackupExec Management Service was unable to start.
MANAGEMENT: [0000] ERROR: Reason: The BackupExec database was offline. Please bring the database online and restart the BackupExec services.
MANAGEMENT: [0000] ERROR: Info: Data Source: BEDB
MANAGEMENT: [0000] ERROR: Info: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The target principal name is incorrect.)
MANAGEMENT: [0000] ERROR: Stack: at BackupExec.Management.Server.OperationMessageInspector.BeforeCall(String operationName, Object[] inputs)
Similar error is also seen at the time of installation of backup exec and the BKUPINST.HTM shows the following error:

Cause
Force Protocol encryption is enabled on the SQL Server Client Network Utility
Resolution
Uncheck the option "Force protocol encryption" as shown in the figure below.
Restart the backup exec services and try to connect to the console.
Issue/Introduction
After installing Backup Exec, it would fail to connect to the console and would ask for the credentials. After providing the credentials, it will give the errors below.
