Tape Backup from previous version of Backup Exec

Issue/Introduction

When performing a restore from a older tape with data backed up in a previous version of Backup Exec files may not restore in the root of sub folders. Example (Figure 1) a restore is performed to restore "Administrative" folder. The files (file.xls, sigs.xls, and Verification(1).xls) are not restored but sub folder(s) (email, Old, and sirs) are restored and the files under their sub folders are restored. The issue appears to affect the files under the top sub folder or root folder you attempt to restore. Figure 1
