Resolution

Instead of failing the backup job, the Backup Exec Domino agent has the ability to recognize these problem databases and display an exception rather than a failure. Use the steps below to implement this logic.  The registry change is to be made on the Backup Exec Media server.

Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.

1) At the Backup Exec Server,

  click Start > Run.

2) Type regedit, and then click OK.

3) Open the following registry key:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\veritas\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\Domino

4) Double-click the registry key Ignore inaccessible databases.

5) Change the value in the Value data field to 1.

6) Click OK.

7) Close regedit.
