Cause
This issue occurs while installing RAWS due to insufficient permissions in the registry for the account being used for the install or the upgrade.
Resolution
2. Browse to
HKLM|Software|Symantec|Backup Exec for Windows Server|Backup Exec|22.0 (Depending on Backup Exec Version installed)
3. Right click on the key 22.0 and select Permissions.
4. Confirm the following accounts are listed with full control.
System
Administrator
Administrators
5. Select "Retry" on the error being prompted while installing RAWS.
