When a backup job runs the following warning message is reported in the System Event log on the server:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: symsnap
Event Category: Disk
Event ID: 57

Description:
The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur.

Resolution

The transaction logs writers may need to be reset. Reboot the server. If this does not resolve the problem, there may be a delay write on the logs volume or the archive volume. Run a CHKDSK /R on both volumes to ensure that there is not file system errors or possible hardware failure.
