Final error: 0xe0000f1f - Software encryption is not supported for one or more of the selected resources. Check the job log for more information.
Cause
Backup Exec does not support Software encryption and Software compression for NDMP based backups of Filers (applies to all supported Filers/Data Movers).
If a backup job is created using Software Compression, then the job is completed successfully. However, the job log does not report a compression ratio. This is because Software Compression will not be used for NDMP filer backup. However, if Software Encryption is selected in filer backup, then the job fails with the following error:
Software encryption is not supported for NDMP backup sets. The resource "//NDMP-FILER/vol/vol_name" has been skipped.

Additional Information:
NDMP backup supports Hardware Encryption and Hardware Compression if the tape device used for backup supports the same.
