VSS Snapshot error. The Volume or snapped volume may not be available or may not exist. Check the configuration of the snapshot provider, and then run the job again.
In addition, event ID 12305 is logged in the Application Event log of the affected server.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, ensure that the source disk and all disks hosting Shadow Copy Storage Locations are accessible, and are showing as healthy in Disk Manager on the server being backed up. The screenshot below illustrates a disk problem that can contribute to this issue.
