When backing up Oracle 10g on a Linux server the follow error occurs.

Backup- Oracle-Linux::\\SERVER\SID V-79-57344-4112 - An error has occurred while collecting information needed for browsing the backup sets.
Verify that the correct credentials are provided in the Remote Agent utility.
You cannot use the media server to restore these backup sets.
However, you can use a DBA-initiated restore operation to restore them.

Cause:
This error occurs because the Resource Credentials used for the server selection (Figure 1 & 2) does not have enough rights to restore the data selected for backup.

Resolution:
Change the Resource Credentials for the server level to an account that has the appropriate rights to backup and restore the data selected for backup (Figure 3).

Backup and Restore --> Double Click on Oracle server --> Credentials.

Select account that has the appropriate rights and click --> Apply.
