The job log will show an informational exception alert V-79-8192-4872 or V-79-8192-4881
"The count of Files and Directories processed is not available for this operation. The File and Directory count might be displayed as zero."
This exception occurs if the File History option was disabled during backup.
During backup or restore of EMC NAS Servers, IBM Filers, or NetApp Filer Systems, no file or directory count is seen in the activity monitor or the job log/ job history. The files/directories processed count is displayed as 0.
Note:
To enable or disable File History (File History is enabled by Default)::

(FIGURE 2)

Toggle this option to prevent the generation of file history data. File history is used to optimize recovery of selected subsets of data from the backup image. File history generation and processing increase the backup time. Disabling file history option may improve backup performance.
If file history is made unavailable and data must later restored, restore the entire backup image/set/volume.
Note: Backup jobs with Verify and file history enabled will complete with the exception during the Verify portion of the job. The job log will report ."The count of Files and Directories processed is not available for this operation. The File and Directory count might be displayed as zero." under the Verify portion of the job log (FIGURE 3). This is expected behavior as NetApp/IBM filers do not send any file history or directory information during a restore or verify operation.
