The above error usually occurs due to the following reasons:

1. The media which is being used for restore has not been inventoried or cataloged.

2. The on-disk catalogs were relocated, are corrupt or have been overwritten. In such a situation the catalog information can be recreated from the on-tape catalog. Refer to the Related Documents section for more details.

3. The location the data is being restored to does not have sufficient space to hold the restored data. Try freeing up space on the volume and retrying the operation.
