Cause
1. Active Alert regarding Media intervention was not responded.
2. Operation has been canceled manually or a time limit has been set for the backup job and the same has been exceeded.
For example, if Enable Automatic Cancellation was selected in the Backup Job Properties, the job will be canceled if the run time exceeds the amount of time specified.
The option "Enable Automatic Cancellation" is found under the following settings:
Edit Backup --> Schedule --> Options --> "Cancel the job if it is still running x hours after its scheduled start time"
Resolution
1. Respond to active alerts in Backup Exec Console.
2. Increase the number of hours for the backup job to complete before it is automatically canceled. To do this, enter an appropriate value in the field "Cancel backup job if not completed within" under:
