Known Issues and Workarounds
Windows proxy backup could fail with IPv6 enabled.
When IPv6 is enabled on one or more network interfaces in a Windows proxy, virtual machine backup can fail while attempting to open a disk with the proxy. The cause is a stack buffer overrun in the libcurl.dll library when trying to enumerate DNS servers having multiple IPv6 network interfaces. Although IPv6 is enabled in all versions of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, the only known workaround is to disable IPv6 on the backup proxy's network interfaces.
