Resolution
The alert was reported because Backup Exec (tm) attempted to write to media that was not available for overwrite operations. The Overwrite Protection Period for the media set where the media resides determines when the media can be overwritten. To get past this event and the corresponding message within Backup Exec, insert overwritable media into the drive. Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media".
