Restore of SharePoint Discussion Board list does not display replies to the items in the list

Cause

Backup Exec overwrites SharePoint web parts that are already present on the SharePoint server and does not display them properly.

Resolution

Exclude the .aspx file when you restore the Discussion Board list and then run the restore again.

  1. Delete the Discussion Board list on the SharePoint server if it was corrupted during the restore.
  2. Exclude the SharePoint .aspx files when you select the Discussion Board list for restore.

    The .aspx files is already on the SharePoint server and the files will not be overwritten by the restore.
     
  3. Run the restore again.
