Case 1: Incase Data Integrity Scanner has not been initiated earlier on Server with Quarantine option:
  1. Replace all the files provided in the path below based on the bitness of the Server and DLO version.
    Location of the files :
     
  2. Run Data Integrity Scanner (DIS) without Quarantine option.
    Note: To run DIS, refer the Admin guide section "Checking Data Integrity"
     
  3. Now, restore all the files which were failing restore.

 

Case 2: In case Data Integrity Scanner has been initiated earlier on Server with Quarantine option:
  1. Replace all the files provided in the path below based on the bitness of the Server and DLO version.
    Location of the files:
     
  2. Run Data Integrity Scanner through command line with switch SF as shown below (SF is a Hidden switch)

    To run the command for all users:
    DLOCommandU.exe –keytest –SF

    To run the command for speciic set of users:
    DLOCommandU.exe -keytest –UF “c:\user.txt” –SF

    User.txt file should contain the user names in the format mentioned below:
    DomainName\Username1
    DomainName\Username2
     
  3. Now, restore the files which were failing restore.

Issue/Introduction

Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO) restore of files is failing with error “Invalid encryption Key” This issue occurs after upgrade from BE 2010 R3/ NBU DLO MP7/ SDLO 7.0 to DLO 7.6 or higher versions.
