How to mount iSCSI volumes after booting from System Recovery Disk (SRD)
The iSCSI target needs to be specified to mount the iSCSI volumes after booting from SRD.
Please run the following commands on command prompt in the order listed:

Note: before performing the following commands, make sure that Networking Service is started and then IP address is assigned.
 

  1. Click the Analyze tab and then select Open Command Shell Windows. (Figure 1)

  2. Type the following commands:
  • net start msiscsi
  • iscsicli QAddTargetPortal
  • iscsicli ListTargets
  • iscsicli QloginTarget

    Replace with the iqn of the iSCSI target.

Note: Microsoft iSCSI initiator Service is not included the following SRD:

System Recovery SRD Multilingual Language
System Recovery SRD that was created by selecting Typical option on System Recovery Disk Creation Utility

 

Issue/Introduction

System Recovery Disk (SRD) has Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service to mount iSCSI volumes, but the volumes need to be mounted manually on SRD.
