Description

Error Message

  • Unable to Launch DLO Console.

  • Unable to add new Users.

  • Unable to add new Storage Location.

  • Unable to submit Restore jobs.

Cause

Lack of permissions on SQL DLO DB.

Resolution

Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express Connect to the SQL DLO Instance.

  • Right Click on Server Properties -> Permissions -> Click on the user. (Figure1)

  • Go to Security -> Logins -> Select user and right Click on that user -> Properties
    • Go to User mapping and enable DLO database and respective role membership as shown below (Figure2)

  • Go to User mapping and enable Master database and respective role membership as shown below (Figure3)

  • Go to Databases -> DLO -> Security -> Users -> Select user and right Click on that user -> Properties -> Select Owned schemas and enable schema as shown below (Figure4)

  • Go to Databases -> DLO -> Security -> Users -> Select user and right Click on that user -> Properties -> Select Membership and enable role members as shown below (Figure5)

  • Restart DLO Database Services and DLO Administrator Services and then Launch the DLO Admin Console.
