Cause
This issue happens if LAN cable is disconnected or NIC is disabled when Backup Exec services (Bengine) start on Backup Exec server. Even if LAN cable is connected or NIC is enabled after that, backups for Oracle databases fails with 0xe0000340 until Backup Exec services restart.
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Please try backing up Oracle databases after restarting all Backup Exec services on Backup Exec server.
Applies To
Oracle Database server on remote server.

This issue does not depend on Backup Exec versions.
