Error Message

The following errors may occur for the given scenarios:

In case of auto recovery:

Error: Info 6C95002C: Cannot complete automatic recovery operation. Please restore the recovery point manually

In case of recovery using Recover My Computer:

Error EC950006: The destination is not valid.

Cause

Scenario 1:

The Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) environment may take time to initialize and display the volumes created on a storage pool.

Scenario 2:

If the system backup occurs immediately after adding a new disk, the backup image order number in the metadata file becomes invalid, and the restore fails.

Scenario 3:

WinPE environment may take time to initialize and display the volumes on a storage pool. As the destination is not initialized and available in the WinPE environment, the recovery environment fails to find the backup images, and restore fails.

Resolution

Scenario 1:

Wait for some time before the volume on the storage pool is initialized and available in the recovery environment. Check if the volumes are available using the diskpart utility. After the volumes are available, restore the system using Recover My Computer.

Scenario 2:

After adding the new disk, restart the system before taking a backup.

Scenario 3:

Wait for some time before the volume on the storage pool to be initialized and available. Check if the volumes are available using the diskpart utility. After the volume is initialized, the backup images are now available for restore using Recovery My Computer.
