Final error: 0x0009b61 - Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it.  The logon account does not have valid credentials.  Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account.

Final error category: Security Errors.

Backup - SERVERNAME

Remote Agent not detected on SERVERNAME

The logon account that was provided does not have valid credentials.

Ensure that the user name and password are correct, and then try again.

It is expected that the job should complete with exceptions since no Remote Agent is detected on the remote Windows server but it should not fail.

Workaround: Install the Agent for WIndows Servers on the remote Windows Server.

Veritas Technologies LLC has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) listed under the Product(s) Section of this article. Veritas Technologies LLC is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time.
