The Backup Exec user interface limits the number of items that display in a single folder.

To restore the items, do one of the following:

• Restore the folder that contains the items to a .PST file and then move the items back to the mailbox in the Exchange Server.
• Use the Backup Exec Search Wizard to find the items.

Note: search may not work if Instant GRT was used for disk based backups. 

To use the Backup Exec Search Wizard to find the items:

1. On the Backup and Restore tab, right-click the server on which you want to search for data, and then click Search.
2. In the Search Wizard select Microsoft Exchange mailbox items located through Search, and then click Next.
3. In the Type field, select the type of item to restore.
4. In the Backup time, select the check boxes to enter the time for the backup job.
5. Complete the additional fields to complete the search criteria (i.e. folder path and\or item names. Partial strings and * wildcard are accepted).
6. Click Search.
7. Select the check box for the database to restore, and then click Next.
8. Select the location where to restore the message, and then click Next.
9. Select Overwrite existing mail messages and folders if the item still exists on the current location, and then click Next.
10. Select additional tasks to perform before and/or after the restore, and then click Next.
11. In the Name field, type a name for the job.
12. Select the schedule options for the job.
13. Click the Submit job on hold check box to create the job with and On Hold status, and then click Next.
14. Click Finish.
