Resolution
The service crash has been confirmed to occur in the Dell OST plugin and not in Backup Exec code. This issue has been to occur with Dell OST plugin version previous to DellOSTPlugin64-2.1.0851.2-OST. The latest version of the plugin must be installed to solve this issue.
