Cause

Expired media sets removed during catalog operation.

 

Resolution

Data life cycle management, user intervention, or manual expiration of backup sets can contribute to the failure if the catalog job is running at the same time.

Workaround:

  1. Disable Data Lifecycle Management.
  2. Start the inventory & catalog operation.
  3. Once completed, enable Data Lifecycle Management.

Issue/Introduction

Long running catalog jobs may conflict with Data Lifecycle Management reclamation cycles wherein media required for completing a catalog is deleted.
