For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-38298
Cause
This issue occurs because the I/O in the virtual machine is high and the quiescing operation is unable to flush all the data to disk, while further I/O is created.
This issue may also occur if you try creating a quiesced snapshot on a virtual machine which does not have free space (0 bytes).
Resolution
- Run Non-GRT backup of Virtual Machine to deduplication device.
- Collect the vmware.log for the corresponding virtual machine from the VMWare ESX server using VI client.
- Check the errors recorded in "vmware.log" and follow the steps provided in VMWare KB article:
Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen virtual machine (1018194)
