Edit the CoreSettings file using notepad. CoreSettings is found by default in C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\Settings\
Change the value of "EnableNSEventLog" from false to true and save the file.
Once the above has been done, restart the 'Altiris Service' on the SMP/VSR-MS server. Client machines will then start showing the correct status when they next send their configuration update (by default, this is set to every one hour).
Issue/Introduction
All client machines show a status of 'Not Reporting' inside the System Recovery Management Solution console. All client communication is working and scheduled backups are running.
This has been seen (but may not be limited to) following a re-installation of the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and Veritas System Recovery Management Solution (VSR-MS). The original database was re-attached to SMP following the new install.
