'V-139-52224-990' the database server name is not specified in registry. failed to load configuration settings.

 

Cause

The registry is filled with information listed on setup.ini, if the MSI installer is run instead of setup.exe, the information in setup.ini will not be populated into the registry.  Therefore, the reference to the Media Server on the Desktop Agent is invalid.

Resolution

  1. On client workstation, uninstall Desktop Agent from Add/Remove programs.
  2. Connect to DLO Share on Media Server.
  3. Run installation using "setup.exe" 

Issue/Introduction

After installing Desktop Agent on a client computer, the software fails to start.
