“Final error: 0x2000040d - S_TF_NO_TAPE_PRESENT” 

Cause

This issue occurs while backing up a mounted snapshot as LUN using VSS.

Resolution

Workaround:-

  • Run backups to a Backup to Disk Folder.
  • Migrate the data to non-snpashot mounted LUN and backup the data.
