Unable to validate the user; Please check user name is valid
Cause
This issue can be caused when the DLO Server does not have a good connection to the Domain Controller and the users can not be validated.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps on the DLO Server:
Warning : Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
- Go to the Registry; via Start -> Run -> regedit
- Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\veritas\veritas DLO\AdminConsole\User Interface
- Under User Interface, create a new DWORD value "SelectUserGroupValidate" with a data value of "0"
- Restart the DLO Administration Service
