Error Message

"Media server was unable to connect to a remote machine "XXXX" using protocol IPv4 on network interface Local Area Connection"

The media server could not connect to the remote computer. The remote computer may not exist on the selected subnet. Try an alternative network interface, or allow Backup Exec to choose any available network interface.

Open the Backup Exec console.

Select the Job Properties tab.

Select the backup job in question.

Select Network and Security

Change "Network interface" to Use any available network interface

Select Submit and retry the job.
