Final error: 0xe0009575 - Unable to connect to virtual machine disk using the VMware VixDiskLib.
Final error category: Resource Errors

The Beremote debug log on the Media Server will show the following information:

     - vixDiskLibGlue: Uninitialized function pointer for: VixDiskLib_Cleanup.
     - vixDiskLibGlue: Uninitialized function pointer for: VixDiskLib_ConnectEx.
     - vixDiskLibGlue: Uninitialized function pointer for: 
     - vixDiskLibGlue: Uninitialized function pointer for: VixDiskLib_FreeErrorText.

Inside the C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\VMWare\ folder for Backup Exec 2015 and prior or c:\Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\VMWare\6.5x\ for Backup Exec 16 and later you will find the "VixDiskLib\bin" directory. The bin folder contains certain .dll modules that are necessary for the backup of the Virtual Machines using the Backup Exec AVVI Agent.

This issue will occur if some files are missing/corrupt or if a restore is performed from a different media server and the AVVI Agent is not installed here.

1. Uninstall the AVVI option through Tools | Install Options and License Keys on this Media Server
2. Go to Help | About | License Information
3. Confirm the AVVI option shows as not installed
4. Re-install the AVVI option through Tools | Install Options and License Keys on this Media Server
5. Go to Help | About | License Information
6. Confirm the AVVI option shows as installed
7. Go into Windows Explorer and confirm the ...VixDisLib\bin folder mentioned above and its sub-directories now exist. 
8. Re-run the Restore job.
