No Error. Job stays in 'Backup Scan' operation for a long time.
The Pre-scan for devices option would have been enabled in Backup exec global settings.
This option displays the percentage completed number while a backup job processes. These indicators appear in the Job Activity tab, and they allow you to monitor the progress of the active job. Backups might take a little longer to complete when this option is selected because the target resources must be scanned to determine the amount of data to be backed up.
Due to the time required to scan the target resources, selecting this option when backing up remote resources is not recommended.
Uncheck the option 'Display progress indicators for backup jobs.' in Backup Exec
