Error Message

Error 14001, This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. re-installing the application may fix this problem.

 

Cause

This issue can occur if the .Net Framework is corrupt.

 

Resolution

  1. Repair Microsoft .Net Framework
  2. Run windows live updates and install the latest version of .NET Framework
  3. Attempt to install Remote Agent again.

2. trying to open  "Remote agent configuration utility" gives the following error
