DLO client launches with error ,

" V-139-57364-2 The file already exists. Failed to start job engine."

" V-138-57364-2 The file already exists. Failed to start job engine."


 

Cause

Following behaviour is observed:

  1. Loads the display console with error, "There is backup selections done for this user".
  2. The DLO Console opens and instead of the taskbar a white screen appears with the message: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled." 
  3. When trying to view the content of the setup.ini or dlobuilinfo.ini file a message appears saying: "The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect."
  4. Access denied error while assigning the user a NUDF. 
  5. Application Log Event ID 1000 : Faulting application dloclient.
  6. Error in log file, CreateRecoveryKeyFile - failed to write file \\server\DLO_Data\

Resolution

  1. Enable Task Scheduler if disabled.
  2. Verify NTFS permissions on the storage location folder. Grant Everyone Full Control on the user's NUDF folder. Restart the DLO Journal Changer service.
  3. Check for the folder named <.settings> in C:\Documents and settings\user\local settings\ application data\Symantec\DLO\ . Repair DLO agent if not visible.
